Who starts a project during the holiday season. Well, us of course. We set out to tackle a beautiful batten board wall and update our living room fireplace. The outcome was so much more then I had hoped for. I love our finished living room now. The project took us way longer then I had wanted it to, but the end result was well worth it.
The living just had no life before, and didn't have that farmhouse style I wanted.... I couldn't wait to get rid of those deer heads on the wall. So thankful they are finally gone.
A work in progress
Finally some color on the walls, a beautiful shade of grey with white batten board. The results were finally starting to show. At this point I couldn't wait to be done and get my house decorated for the Christmas season. We started this project right before Thanksgiving.
The end results were so worth the days of work and lack of sleep. To make the fireplace pop I purchased Birch log pieces, had my hubby cut them to size, placed them in the fireplace with remote activated candles. The room is just so cozy and warm now.
This finished living room is Boston Terrier Approved...
